Reports to : Service Manager or Service Location Manager
Job Responsibility : To Assemble, Pre-Deliver, and Perform maintenance. Also to repair products sold and serviced by the dealership.
Specific Functions :
- Attend all scheduled training programs conducted by the dealership, or suppliers
- DTAC Training
- Study manuals and other reference information concerning the repair and maintenance of company products as provided to the dealership and others
- Be responsible for yourself, keep productivity up, and utilize work time
- Make repairs in keeping with recommended procedures and specified standards
- Cooperate with other members of the dealership staff, suppliers and customers
- Seek to improve personal and dealership image at all times
- Maintain a good personal appearance
- Practice good housekeeping by keeping tools, equipment and work area clean and in a safe working condition
- Complete records electronically in full before clocking out for the job
- Creates parts list for the Foreman or Service Manager to approve for quotes or repairs
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge :
- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of small engine equipment
- Ability to use basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- Service Technician certification preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
- Fork lift license preferred
